Health Support Tele-Counselor

Roles and Responsibility

• Conduct telephonic counseling sessions for PLHIV and TB-affected individuals.
• Provide psychosocial support, adherence counseling, and health education.
• Address concerns related to treatment, stigma, and mental health.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and follow-ups.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and community outreach workers to ensure holistic care.
• Encourage beneficiaries to seek timely medical intervention and treatment adherence.
• Raise awareness about HIV & TB prevention and available services.
• Identify and refer clients for additional support services when needed.
• Accomplish any additional responsibilities assigned by the manager to support program goals and organizational needs.

Qualifications

• Languages: Proficiency in Hindi, English, and any South Indian language (Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, or Malayalam preferred).
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or related fields.
• Prior experience in counseling, healthcare, or community-based work is preferred.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and confidentiality.
• Basic knowledge of HIV, TB, and public health services is an advantage.
• Preference will be given to people living with HIV.
