Background (EpiC Project)
- Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a global project funded by the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Department of State (DoS) with a period of performance from April 15, 2019, to December 30, 2027. EpiC is led by FHI 360 with core partners Population Services International (PSI), Palladium Group, and Right to Care and implemented by over 250 regional, resource, and local partners.
- Globally EpiC provides technical support and direct service delivery to improve outcomes in HIV, global health security, outbreak preparedness and response, malaria, nutrition, and maternal, newborn and child health. The project strengthens health systems including data systems, human resources for health and building capacity of governments and civil society for service delivery. Under HIV, EpiC supports to achieve and maintain epidemic control through strategic technical assistance to improve HIV case finding, care, and treatment programming across 35 countries supported by PEPFAR.
- Since 2023, EpiC in India has been supporting the Network of Maharashtra by People Living with HIV/AIDS (NMP+) – a community-based organization formed by people with HIV to scale-up its social enterprise – Treatment, Adherence, Advocacy and Literacy (TAAL+) which runs a pharmacy and integrated health center (IHC) as a subsidiary of NMP+ and provides essential HIV, STI, SRH and mental health services through a community-led service model run ‘for’ and ‘by’ people living with HIV. In 2024, to give a boost to the social enterprise efforts of TAAL+, EpiC supported NMP+ to develop TAAL+ e-pharmacy platform, accessible at https://taalhealthcare.com. TAAL+ IHC and pharmacy reaches around 500 PLHIV and at-risk clients and offers a comprehensive package of services at subsidized cost that includes medicines, doctor consultations and laboratory services.
- During the period from March to September 2026, EpiC aims to boost the online sales of TAAL+ pharmacy through targeted brand promotion and online sales and marketing efforts. TAAL+ aims to expand its reach to approximately 12,000 new individuals, of whom an estimated 700 new buyers are expected to be identified and converted into active clients for purchase of ART, PreP, PEP, doctor consultation and/or laboratory services. This effort is to further enhance capacity of NMP+ to scale-up and grow its social enterprise model.
- FHI 360 is seeking applications from qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Digital Marketing Specialist-Pharmaceuticals, to be based in Pune. The Digital Marketing Specialist-Pharmaceuticals will support the TAAL+ team by leading the brand promotion of TAAL+ products and services.
- This is a results-driven role requiring strong expertise in digital technologies and pharmaceutical marketing. The position will be responsible for developing and executing compliant, high-impact digital marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness, increase product and service visibility, drive customer engagement, and contribute to revenue growth, while aligning with TAAL+ program objectives.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and optimize comprehensive digital marketing strategies to enhance the online presence and visibility of TAAL+ products and services.
- Ensure all digital marketing activities fully comply with pharmaceutical marketing regulations and industry standards.
- Build and grow a strong digital network of Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and diagnostic service providers across seven cities, onboarding them as TAAL+ service partners.
- Leverage HCP and diagnostic networks to drive demand generation, service adoption, and revenue growth.
- Manage and optimize TAAL+ social media platforms to increase engagement, reach, and brand credibility.
- Plan, organize, and execute medical webinars for healthcare providers and clients to support education, engagement, and brand positioning.
- Support business development initiatives through digital campaigns, partnerships, and lead generation activities.
- Demonstrate strong capabilities in people management, sales effectiveness, Profit and Loss (P&L) oversight to support sustainable business growth.
- Analyze campaign performance, audience insights, and return on investment (ROI), using data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Support TAAL+ to streamline the reporting on new client acquisition and revenue being generated.
- Participate in review/coordination meetings and represent FHI 360 /EpiC India project in important meetings.
- Carry-out coordination meetings with private healthcare providers, community based organisations (PLHIV, LGBTQIA+) and diagnostic facilities across the seven cities.
- Participate and engage in any other activities as per requirements of the project.
Eligibility Criteria:- MBA in Marketing or an equivalent postgraduate degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
- Five to Seven years of progressive experience in digital marketing, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical compliance and ethical marketing practices.
- Demonstrated success in Health Care business development, stakeholder engagement, and revenue-driven marketing.
- Experience managing HCP-focused marketing initiatives and professional networks.
- Solid knowledge of social media management, digital analytics, and webinar platforms.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, track performance, and contribute to P&L outcomes.
- Highly proficient with MS Project, and the Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Outlook, Visio).
- Preferably excellent oral and written communication skills in English, Marathi and Hindi.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate, influence and work well with others.

- This is not a remote or hybrid working position. The selected candidate be stationed at the NMP+ TAAL+ premises in Pune and will need to travel around 30% of the time within Pune and six other cities where the new markets are being expanded.
