Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Doctor specializing in communicable diseases to join our team. The role includes diagnosing, treating, and managing HIV care, sexual health, mental health issues, and other communicable diseases. You will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our patients and helping them manage their health conditions effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care: Provide clinical consultations for patients, focusing on HIV care, sexual health, mental health, and communicable diseases.
- Diagnostics & Treatment: Prescribe medications, order laboratory investigations, and make referrals as needed.
- Patient Counseling: Conduct counseling sessions addressing health concerns, providing support, and educating patients on prevention and management of communicable diseases.
- Patient Management: Build strong rapport with clients to enhance trust and communication, ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction.
- Follow-ups: Ensure timely follow-up with patients for their scheduled visits, in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and organized records in prescribed formats, including UBQ.
- Data & Reporting: Assist the Data Manager with ERP software maintenance and other data-related activities in their absence, and analyze patient data to identify treatment gaps.
- Collaboration: Work in partnership with NGOs, CBOs, and institutions related to HIV/AIDS and communicable diseases.
- Training & Development: Train office staff and healthcare professionals in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of communicable diseases, as well as general medical protocols.
- Community Engagement: Conduct outreach and education efforts to increase awareness of communicable diseases and their impact on public health.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: MBBS degree with a valid medical license.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in the management of communicable diseases.
- Skills: Strong communication and diagnostic abilities, with the capacity to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Leadership: Ability to train and mentor staff and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
